Juliette Clarke BSc. MSc. MBACP (Accred.) Couple and Individual Counselling
With over twenty years experience as both a couples counsellor and individual counsellor/psychotherapist, I offer help with a wide range of problems, such as:
- relationship issues and conflict,
- anxiety and stress,
- anger management,
- low self esteem and lack of confidence,
- bereavement and loss.
I am understanding and supportive, offering a safe and confidential environment for us to explore why your problems might feel overwhelming - then work with you to find a better way to manage and resolve them.
My experience is broad; I have worked as a couples counsellor for Relate, as a student counsellor for several Universities and for the NHS. In addition, over the past thirteen years I have run my own private counselling practice, working with both couples and individuals. In the past I lived overseas, in Africa and the Far East, which has given me a greater awareness of cultural diversity, helpful in this cosmopolitan city.
I offer either short term counselling - for specific concerns - or long term help - when the problems are more complex and offer both day time and evening appointments. My approach is eclectic - I use a mixture of theoretical skills including CBT and Mindfulness, drawing on my wide range of experience to fit your particular needs. Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
My counselling practice is based in my ground floor flat close to Putney Heath. There are plenty of buses which stop nearby and free on-site parking for visitors.
