About me

  • Are you dealing with depression, anxiety or stress?
  • Are you experiencing burnout in your work, or personal life, and want to re assess where you are going in your life?
  • Do you want to overcome the feeling you are the only one who feels the way you do?
  • Would you like to talk to an experienced counsellor in a secure environment about relationship issues?
  • Do you want to explore the spiritual meaning in your life?
  • Are you facing changes in your life such as having a baby, children leaving home, midlife dissatisfaction, retirement, health issues and want to explore them further?
  • Do you want to improve your balance between work and home life?
  • Would you like to discuss and reflect on issues you experience at work?

The first step to resolving any of these issues is to talk about them and make some changes. After all, tomorrow will only be the same as today unless you make a change of some kind. A change might just be talking openly or it might be learning to overcome a particular barrier in your life.

This is where I can help you. I am a trained psychotherapist and ensure that all my client meetings are in secure place for you to talk openly about your concerns in a way that is not usually possible with family, friends or work colleagues. I typically have a first meeting where we review your personal situation and what you would like to achieve. From this, I can put together a plan for us to work on together going forward.

I see clients from the age of 16 years and up.

My professional quaIifications include:

I am professionally registered with the United Kingdom Council of Psychotherapy (UKCP) and work in in compliance with the UKCP code of Ethics and have professional insurance.

I am listed on The Minster Centre Register as a Recognised Supervisor (RS)

My working life has been mainly spent in the voluntary sector working with young people and people who have become homeless. As a result of this i have experience working with drugs and alcohol, family breakdown and mental health issues.

Having worked in two university settings, I have a particularly interest in the issues facing students in Higher Education .

I work in an Integrative way and also am able to work psychodynamically if requested.

If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.
