About me
I'm a Psychosynthesis Counsellor with over 25 years experience who can help you to explore what's concerning you from different perspectives enabling you to find answers and ways to get through your difficulties so you can start fulfilling more of your true potential.
As well as providing you with a safe, confidential, non-judgemental, respectful, supportive, and caring place to build an open and trusting relationship between us, my experience in Psychosynthesis can also give you the choice to explore using other techniques like Gestalt Therapy, Creative Visualisation, Drawing and Symbolism if you want to. More importantly, Psychosynthesis counselling not only helps you look into the influences of the past and gives you a thorough understanding of what you're going through at the moment to find answers, it also keeps a focus on your hopes and dreams for the future and what adds meaning and purpose to your life.
I personally found Psychosynthesis therapy to be so effective and such a turning point for change in my own life that I chose to take a 3 year in depth training so that I could help others become more of who they really want to be.
Those everyday life problems I can especially help with include: relationship issues, periods of change, traumatic experiences, feelings of depression, stress, panic or anxiety, low self-confidence, low self-esteem or low assertiveness, anger management, affairs and betrayals, falling into addictive behaviours, mid-life crisis or having no sense of meaning & purpose to life, bereavement & loss, child or family issues, career counselling, work related issues and redundancy. My website link at the top of this page explains more about me and how I work and gives more detail about the issues I can cover.
As I previously had a business career, I can appreciate and include your professional issues within the counselling process if needed and my previous work with couples has helped me deepen my understanding of the communication issues that can stop relationships moving forward. I am also qualified in being able to work with the needs of young adults.
I hope you will find me to be the sort of person you can open up to - I'm understanding, can be challenging when the time is right and will always put your needs first so you can really get to the heart of whatever it is that's concerning you.
Here’s what some of my clients have said:
"I want to thank you for the way you have made me feel safe.... to share with you things that have been locked away and hidden from the world for years... This has made me feel lighter and the most free I have ever felt in my life."
"you've shown me how to understand myself... I have more insight into my patterns and more choice surrounding future actions... you've shown me where my strength is and how to find it when I've been challenged... you've influenced me in a hugely positive way."
"You have had a gift of making me feel relaxed during heightened stress and I think I have left every one of our sessions with more hope than when I arrived."
“You have really helped me to better understand my emotions and get to grips with some I didn’t know I had.”
“seeing you was a huge help for me, especially with decision making and moving on with things from the past. I came to enjoy our sessions very much and felt very safe and comforted by you.”
"When I first met you I can honestly say I could never see my life, or my perspective on life changing so much so that I would be where I am today"
"Thank you for all your insight, ability to help others find their own solutions and your kindness."
"The skills you have taught me will stay with me for life."
"you have helped me turn my life around."
"During the process of working through a great number of issues with you, I now feel I am in control of my own life."
"I cannot know where I would be now if I had not had the good fortune (or sound judgement in this case!!) to contact you for guidance. I do know it would not have been in such a good place."
"I came to trust the Psychosynthesis process completely. Through it you learn to look for balance in your life ... to look at issues from every conceivable angle ... This process opens life up, life can be what I want it to be."
"From the start I found you to be kind and empathetic whilst at the same time challenging my rigidly held beliefs ... Thank you for all your help, for the tissues and the laughter."
I'm committed to helping all the people I work with to gain insights and to find the power to solve all sorts of problems so please feel free to ring or email me to help you decide whether I could be the right counsellor for you.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
