I am an experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapist and counsellor, and offer a confidential service for individuals and couples who may be experiencing a wide variety of emotional difficulties. I have a practice near Tiptree (with disabled access) and can provide an out of office hours service for those who cannot take time off work. If you have difficulty with travelling or child care, I can offer sessions via Zoom, FaceTime or telephone.
I am a trauma informed therapist and can offer help for those who have suffered trauma from early childhood or from threatening incidents during their lifetime. I have considerable experience working with depression, anxiety, separation and loss. I have a special interest in helping couples who wish to separate amicably and want to best protect their children in the process. Also helping those who have adopted children, and would like a better understanding of the effects of childhood trauma.
In addition I provide clinical supervision for practitioners and students in a way that can help them challenge themselves, but also to help them reach their full potential. I provide psychoanalytic/psychodynamic therapy for trainee therapists.
I work in a sensitive way and appreciate that people who are suffering from emotional and mental health difficulties could be feeling fragile and may have taken a while to gain the confidence to seek help with the problem.
