About me

As an experienced Integrative Counsellor I work in private practise in South West in London, I see young people, individuals and couples for short or long term counselling depending on their needs and presenting issues. Some of the presenting issues include, anxiety, stress, depression, relationship breakdowns, abuse, work related issues and Boarding School issues. Their needs and emotional wellbeing are paramount in working towards understanding and addressing their issues and together we hope to achieve a healthier emotional balance in their lives.

My counselling experience has been honed over many years working as a volunteer counsellor at the West London Centre for Counselling where I undertook short term work with individuals suffering from depression, abuse, work related issues, stress and trauma.

I have been involved for a number of years at Hammersmith & Fulham Mind as a Trustee and Chair helping deliver the service provision that is so important to the quality of life for our service users. As the Clinical Co-ordinator of the Counselling Service I oversaw the clinical placements of students from various universities undertaking psychology an/or counselling degrees. Work included interviewing of students, client assessments, assisting the experienced supervisors as well as a small case load of clients. The service saw clients for long term work and covered a variety of clients with moderate to more complex needs.

I undertake short term Employee Assistance Programme work for a number of organisations.

Staff Counsellor for The London Oratory School, Fulham.

I have counselled many students undertaking Counselling/Psychotherapy courses at various universities who require counselling as part of their course requirements and assisting young people through the stresses of school work load pressures.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
