Megan Dawson, BSc(Hons) Psy. Acc.MBACP Reg. MBPsS
BACP Accredited Therapist. BUPA recognised Therapist.
Therapy is increasingly being shown as an effective way of dealing with a wide variety of personal issues. I would be wrong to say absolutely that therapy will work for you or that is is right for everyone, but I do know that I have worked successfully with many people for whom it has made a significant difference - to themselves, their relationships, and how they live their lives.
I believe we are all on a journey towards health, and wholeness, and the road to healing can often be difficult to navigate. Life challenges can result in feelings of anger, depression, anxiety, and loss of control, but these same struggles can be opportunities for growth. I will walk with you on your journey of self-discovery, and together we will uncover your unique strengths, develop coping skills, increase self-confidence, and work toward restoring balance in your life.
My therapeutic approach is integrative humanistic, which just means that I am trained in more than one approach. The strength of my approach rests on forging a genuine, durable and trusting therapeutic relationship, aiming to provide counselling in a safe and confidential environment, where you will be heard, but not judged, nor told what to do. You can use counselling to help you think more clearly, make decisions or changes in your life or come to terms with difficult past or present experiences. You cannot always change your circumstances, but you may find easier ways of dealing with it.
I work with adults, couples, young people, and children on a variety of issues.
