About me

My name is Gill, I am an integrative NLP psychotherapist, relational counsellor, supervisor and trainer. I offer face to face and online short and long term therapy to adults and couples.

I believe therapy, whether it is counselling, psychotherapy, hypnotherapy or NLP is about empowering you to make choices and new ways of changing those things that can feel impossible and overwhelming.

There are many dynamic therapies that can help people change - as an integrative psychotherapist I have many tools and techniques but I have found the glue that make these changes “stick” is the kind of therapy where you can feel supported and heard in a confidential space. Whatever problems or stuck place you may be in, feeling the warmth and regard of another human being can really help you begin to learn to listen to your own needs and find ways of meeting these.Relational counselling means the process of therapy is internalised so the client has tools to take with them when they no longer need the therapy space.

My passion is enabling people to free themselves from old patterns that have kept them stuck, to develop the strength to make choices and be who they want to be. I absolutely believe that you can find a more realistic, beneficial and happier way to live your life as one whole, aware person.

I came into counselling during a really difficult time in my life, and found the support of a therapist really helped me make sense of the experiences I was having and understand who I was, why I behaved and felt the way I did and very importantly develop the strength to make the right choices for me.I hope I can offer a similar service for you.

I first qualified in 1993, and in 2000 I set up The Coleby Centre, which is a private therapy and counselling centre in Sidcup where different therapists run their practices.  The therapy centre is set up to be a welcoming, trusting and safe space. It is important to me that the environment helps you to begin to relax and feel more at ease to reflect on some of your more difficult thoughts and feelings.  i also work in Westgate on Sea in Thanet.

Please be assured that I am taking the current situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic very seriously.  I have stringent measures at the Coleby Centre in place, but if you are not able to attend the centre, online sessions are a very convenient alternative to allow you to continue your therapy.  Please view the measures at the Coleby Centre here https://www.colebycentre.com/coronavirus.
