About me
I am an experienced UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist. United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) are the main governing body for Psychotherapists in the UK. I am also a member of the National Register of Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists (NRHP).
I have been practicing since 2007 and use an integrative approach to therapy, combining hypnosis with cognitive behaviour techniques (CBT) to help clients identify the underlying cause of presenting symptoms and change unwanted patterns of behaviour. I provide an empathic and non-judgemental environment for a client to be able to explore difficulties in their life.
I have experience of working with a range of stress related conditions including depression, panic attacks and anxiety, General Anxiety Disorder, trauma and PTSD, bereavement, weight management, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, pain relief, anger and relationship issues and low self-esteem. I have also completed research projects on both performance anxiety and OCD.
I am trained in Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), an effective and efficient treatment for trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD and phobias. I am a member of the EMDR Association UK & Ireland.
I currently run a gastroenterology hypnotherapy clinic for the NHS specialising in the treatment of IBS and other functional gut disorders.
I also provide support for individuals preparing for fertility treatment, pregnancy, birth and parenthood through the use of hypnosis by helping to restore the natural balance in the body.
I am passionate about the work that I do and believe that, given the right support, everyone has the ability to heal and live a happy and fulfilled life. I practice out of a very comfortable private office in Sutton Coldfield and Victoria Health Centre in Sandwell (NHS). I would be happy to answer any questions that you may have with regard to starting therapy.
I tend to use Teams for online sessions.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
