About me

Hi, I'm Sophie and I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years experience working in the NHS and private practice. I work with adults with a range of psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, chronic pain, adjustment to changes in health, weight management and fitness, relationship difficulties, postnatal depression/anxiety, health anxiety, grief, trauma and stress.

Trained in Attachment Therapies, I am also passionate about helping people to recover from relationship loss, date wisely and build healthy, happy, secure relationships with others.

I offer timely, evidence-based psychological intervention that is individually tailored to your needs. I am trained in a variety of therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion-Focused Therapy and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Together we will explore the underlying triggers for your difficulties and will set achievable goals that will lead to lasting, meaningful change.

My comfortable therapy suite offers a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space to discuss the difficulties that you are experiencing. You can choose between seeing me in-person or online.

Contact me today so that we can arrange a free, confidential telephone consultation. We can discuss your difficulties and decide together whether psychological intervention will be helpful and what options are available to you.

Training, qualifications & experience

In my private practice I work with a wide range of mental health difficulties including depression, anxiety, PTSD, stress, self harm, weight management, OCD, relationship difficulties, grief, loss, trauma and adjustment to physical health conditions. I work with adults and couples.

I spent many years also working in the NHS with people with health conditions including persistent pain, renal impairment, cancer, neurological disorders and health anxiety.

I have a BSc in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I have also completed additional training in EMDR, Clinical Supervision, Attachment, Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
