Supervision details
I am an experienced and qualified Clinical Supervisor (CPCAB). I provide clinical supervision to individuals and small groups working in private practice or within organisations. Being an integrative counsellor in humanistic, CBT, and Psychodynamic, DBT theories enables me to adapt to each supervisee’s preferred theoretical model, ensuring a personalised approach to supervision. I offer Supervision both face-face and online. I have witnessed first hand the transformative power of supervision- not just a requirement, but as a vital dynamic process that nurtures both personal and professional growth.
Supervision style :-
Supervision is not a one-size fits all approach. Every practitioner has unique theoretical orientations, and ways of working. My role as a supervisor is to adapt to these differences, offering an empathic, compassionate, non- judgemental and reflective space tailored to each supervisee's developmental stage and professional journey.
I draw upon three models of Supervision :-
-Seven-Eyed model of Supervision (Hawkins and Shohet)
-The Cyclical model of supervision (Page and Wosket)
-The Three step model of supervision (Els Van Ooijen)
In my style of supervision practice, I emphasize a relational and reflective approach where therapists can bring their challenges, uncertainties, and successes, allowing them to explore their work without the fear of judgement. I not only work closely with practitioners exploring different therapeutic orientations, interventions and skills, but I explore and support the emotional impact of the work upon my supervisees. My supervision style supports the exploration of uncovering transference and countertransference material between the therapist and client relationship by developing a greater awareness of supervisees' ' use of self' in therapy, this insight enhances the therapist's ability to respond with insight and empathy.
Supporting Ethical and Safe Practice
Supervision is an essential safeguard for both therapists and clients. The BACP Ethical framework reminds us of our responsibility to work in ways that are ethical, safe and beneficial for the client. Supervision plays a key role in offering a space where therapists can explore, dilemmas, manage risk and reflect on ethical decision making.
As a supervisor I support practitioners in navigating these complexities, using the BACP Ethical Decision-Making Model as a guide. This structured approach helps therapists to step back from difficult situations, weigh up different perspectives, and make informed choices that align with ethical principles.
Experience :-
I have over 10 years experience as a counsellor working with a wide range of mental health disorders:- anxiety, social anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, trauma, Bipolar, BPD, grief, abortion, anger, pre-trail therapy, self harm, suicide prevention with adults in private practice, GP surgeries and with University Students. I have lectured both at college and University levels in counselling skills, theories and mental health disorders.
Whether you are a new therapist or seasoned therapist, investing in good supervision can make all the difference in your work and resilience to burn out.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
