Supervision details
I am a NCPS counsellor, psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with over 20 years experience working in mental health within a local university and private practice.
I believe good supervision should support you to develop your own clinical thinking, confidence and therapeutic approach, rather then simply providing you with answers. My approach is tailored to your individual needs and is supportive, reflective and appropriately challenging, helping you explore your work while developing your professional autonomy.
I offer confidential, non-judgemental space where you can bring your client work openly and honestly, including difficult or complex cases, uncertainty, ethical dilemmas, risk and safeguarding concerns. Supervision provides an opportunity to step back from the work, reflect on what is happening for you and your client, consider different perspectives and develop a clearer understanding of your therapeutic choices.
My aim is for you to leave supervision feeling supported and appropriately challenged, with greater clarity, confidence and trust in your own clinical judgement.
