MY APPROACH TO SUPERVISION

I offer a safe and confidential space to reflect on your practice as a source of support, learning, and understanding. We will work together in a supervisory alliance to provide a safe, ethical, and competent service to clients.

Building a trusting, accepting relationship between supervisee and supervisor is central to how I work. My supervision style is a blended approach drawing on a range of supervision models tailored to suit your needs.

Supervision sessions are typically once a month for one and a half hours.

MY BACKGROUND

I work in private practice and as an assessment counsellor for the Sheffield Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre. My previous experience includes working for  a service providing community and home-based counselling for clients aged 50+ with complex needs, a specialist trauma therapy service for women, and an employee assistance programme.

I am an Accredited Registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work according to the NCPS Code of Ethics.

I cannot supervise or take clinical responsibility for any child or couples therapy.

FEES

The hourly rate for supervision sessions is £60.00. I ask supervisees to pay in advance of the session by bank transfer.

The fee covers more than just the time we spend together. To provide you with ethical care, my fee contributes to supervision of supervision, ongoing professional development, hire of confidential room space when needed, and professional insurance. I review my fees on an annual basis.
