Supervision details
I am an integrative therapist and a qualified clinical supervisor, passionate about supporting therapists in their personal and professional development. I believe supervision offers a valuable space to pause, reflect and make sense of our experiences, helping us grow in confidence and deepen our understanding of ourselves and our clients.
My established private practice has helped shaped my appreciation of the complexity of people's lives and the importance of feeling heard, understood and accepted. I have a Level 7 Certificate in Supervision from the Manchester Institute for Psychotherapy and Counselling and work with the Hawkins & Shoet 7 eyed supervision model which is an effective and flexible way to explore client work.
As a BACP member, I value ethical practice, professional integrity and ongoing reflection and learning.
My Approach to Supervision
I aim to offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you feel comfortable bringing all aspects of your therapeutic work, including the moments that feel challenging, uncertain or difficult to make sense of.
My approach is collaborative and relational, balancing empathy and encouragement with gentle, constructive challenge. Together, we can explore client relationships, recurring patterns, emotional responses and ethical dilemmas, helping you develop greater self-awareness and confidence in your practice.
I believe supervision is not about having all the answers, but about creating space to ask questions, consider different perspectives and discover new possibilities.
What We Can Explore Together
Supervision can provide space to reflect on:
- Client relationships, relational patterns and therapeutic boundaries.
- Trauma, early experiences and the impact of difficult relationships.
- Your emotional responses and the impact of client work.
- Ethical dilemmas, safeguarding and professional responsibilities.
- Your therapeutic identity, confidence and professional development.
- Wellbeing, self-care and sustaining yourself in therapeutic practice.
- Our work together will be shaped around your individual needs, experience and the clients you support.
My Commitment to You
I am continuing to develop my supervisory practice through reflection, ongoing learning and my regular supervision. I am committed to working ethically, within my competence, and in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.
Above all, I want supervision to feel like a space where you can be open, feel supported and explore your work without fear of judgement. I hope to help you recognise your strengths, navigate challenges and develop a deeper trust in yourself as a therapist.
I believe that looking after the therapist is an important part of looking after the therapeutic relationship. Through shared reflection, curiosity and compassion, we can support your wellbeing, professional growth and the care you offer your clients.
Fees
My fees are £50 per hour (qualified). I have a limited amount of concession spaces available.
Choosing a supervisor is an important decision. I offer a free 20 minute initial conversation to discuss your work, what you're looking for from supervision and whether we might be a good fit.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
