Supervision details
I am an HCPC-registered Arts Psychotherapist and full member of BADth with over a decade of clinical experience spanning private practice, national charities, and corporate consulting. Drawing on my 10+ years as a practicing therapist, I offer collaborative, cross-modality clinical supervision to qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, arts therapists, and trainees.
My supervisory framework is naturally integrative and holistic. While I welcome supervises working across a broad spectrum of general mental health challenges, I also bring a decade of deep clinical expertise to those navigating complex presentations- including trauma, abuse, LGBTQ+ identity, neurodivergent-affirming practices, reproductive health, parenting, and PMDD.
My Approach and Philosophy
Supervision with me is a shared creative and analytical space designed to offer you the same safety, containment, and deep reflection that you strive to give your clients. I view supervision as a collaborative relationship where you can step back, untangle relational dynamics, and safely build your clinical confidence.
Because I am a Dramatherapist, our work can go beyond just sitting and talking. While we will use direct verbal reflection, we can also integrate gentle, creative, and somatic tools- such as object work, drawing, or somatic awareness- to explore parallel processes, illuminate blind spots, or shift stuck energy when words feel limited.
What I Can Support You With
- Building a Sustainable Practice & Sector Pressures: Having successfully made the leap from full-time employment to a thriving independent practice, alongside my history of working for national charities and consulting for a global healthcare organisation, I can offer real-world guidance on business setups, marketing, clinical risk management, and workplace or organisational dynamics.
- General Mental Health & Wellbeing Oversight: Supporting you with your core caseload, ensuring robust ethical oversight for clients navigating everyday issues such as anxiety, depression, burnout, stress, perfectionism, low self-esteem, or existential questioning.
- Trauma-Informed Oversight: Supporting you in safely monitoring your own somatic indicators, regulating your nervous system, and identifying secondary trauma or burnout.
- Specialty Guidance: Offering knowledgeable clinical reflection for practitioners working extensively with the LGBTQ+ community, neurodivergent clients, or individuals navigating reproductive health, parenting, and PMDD.
- Completing Training & Placement Transitions: Providing ethical, structured guidance to student therapists navigating their placements, hours logs, and the transition into full qualification.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
