Supervision details
I will work to support your development, learning and work with clients by:
• being open to issues you wish to raise within the supervisory relationship
• bringing to your awareness issues that are potentially important to you, your client, or your work with clients – to challenge personal or professional ‘blind spots’
• to share experience, information, and skills appropriately
• providing mobile and email availability for contact outside agreed sessions for the sole purpose of supporting and de-briefing the supervisee if necessary
• supporting you to ensure your work with clients is both safe and ethical
• providing a ‘safe’ space for you to explore and clarify thinking, feelings about:
o the client and how they are presenting
o the interventions
o the therapeutic relationship
o your own feelings about the client sessions
o supervisory reactions as a potential guide to what is happening for the client or therapist
o any wider environmental issues impacting the client, therapist, and the work together
