Supervision details
I am a qualified clinical supervisor, trained in the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision and the Integrated Developmental Model (IDM). I offer supportive, reflective and collaborative clinical supervision for qualified and newly qualified counsellors, counsellors in training and psychotherapists.
Supervision does not need to be a place where you arrive with polished answers or feel that you are being assessed. There should be room to bring uncertainty, difficult feelings and the parts of the work that may be harder to name, knowing that these can be explored with curiosity rather than judgement.
It is often within the most challenging aspects of counselling that important insights can emerge. I see supervision as a secure and containing space in which to think deeply about clients, therapeutic relationships, professional development and the personal impact of being a practitioner.
My approach is psychodynamic and relational. Within supervision, we might explore client presentations, unconscious and relational dynamics, transference and countertransference, ethical dilemmas, safeguarding, diversity and difference, and the impact of the work on you as a practitioner.
I aim to offer both support and thoughtful challenge. Rather than providing quick answers or suggesting one ‘right’ way of practising, I will gently ask questions, notice patterns and offer perspectives that can deepen reflection and strengthen confidence in your own clinical judgement.
My clinical interests include childhood trauma and emotional neglect, attachment and relationship difficulties, anxiety, shame and self-criticism, neurodiversity including autism and ADHD, nervous system dysregulation, identity and self-esteem, and work with young people and adults.
Before qualifying as a psychodynamic counsellor, I worked in education for over 30 years as a teacher, SENCO and senior leader. I have also taught counselling students from Levels 2 to 6 and supported trainees with skills practice, reflective learning, ethical thinking and integrating theory with client work.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
