Supervision details
I am a Chartered Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with a PhD in Psychology, and I am currently completing the Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) Supervisor Training, due to finish in May. I have experience supervising Assistant Psychologists and Counsellors in training, and I also completed the 4-day Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Supervisor Training in June 2023.
In supervision, I aim to offer a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can think openly about your work, your development and the challenges that come with clinical practice. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth, balancing being easy to talk to with a clear focus on problem-solving and professional growth.
I integrate CBT and CFT within supervision, with a strong emphasis on compassion — both towards clients and towards yourself as a practitioner. I am particularly mindful of the pressures therapists face, and I aim to create a reflective space that supports confidence, ethical practice and sustainable, compassionate ways of working.
I can also offer CBT specific supervision as I am a BABCP accredited psychotherapist.
Regarding a little about me, I love coffee, running and martial arts.
The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
