Supervision details

I work best with practitioners who don’t fit the template — and who don’t want supervision that feels like an assessment or a performance. If you’re thoughtful, intense, unconventional, or simply tired of having to “sound clinical” while you’re holding complex work, you’ll likely feel at home here.

My supervision style is relational, experiential, and deeply human. I offer a pluralistic, anti-oppressive, and flexible approach that responds to your needs — not a one-size-fits-all model. Whether you’re newly qualified or experienced, our work is collaborative and grounded in mutual respect.

I bring a strong GSRD-affirmative stance, and I welcome supervisees working with LGBTQ+ clients, neurodivergent clients (ADHD/autistic/wired differently), non-monogamous clients, kink/BDSM communities, and culturally diverse clients. I’m attentive to minority stress, shame, power dynamics, and the places where “standard models” don’t quite hold.

This isn’t supervision for surface-level updates. We’ll go where it matters — into the patterns in the work, the relational dynamics, the stuck places, the ethical tensions, and what’s happening in your nervous system when you’re in the room (or on the screen) with a client. We can slow it down when you’re flooded, and we can get direct when avoidance is the real issue.

I draw on Gestalt, trauma-informed practice, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches, and intersectional thinking. That means we might:

map the different “parts” you bring to the work (including protector parts like over-functioning, people-pleasing, or imposter syndrome)
track what’s happening in your body when the work gets hot (freeze, fawn, urgency, numbness)
unpack parallel process and what the client may be “evoking” in you
explore identity, power, and countertransference without shame
stay practical: boundaries, contracting, safeguarding, rupture/repair, risk, and how to hold complexity safely
We don’t do excessive formality here. You don’t have to impress me. You can expect professional standards, yes — but also honesty, warmth, presence, and depth. A space where you can think out loud, say the thing you’re not supposed to say, and leave with something clearer than you arrived with.

Fee: £60 per 50-minute session.
You’re welcome to book a free 30-minute consultation to see if we’d work well together.

If you’re looking for supervision that can hold both your clinical thinking and your full humanity — let’s talk.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
