Supervision details
I’m Amanda — a Counselling Supervisor, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, Clinical Hypnotherapist and qualified Hypnobirthing Practitioner. I work in both private and community settings and enjoy creating a calm, curious space where supervisees can reflect, grow and feel supported.
I practise integratively and use the Seven‑Eyed model of supervision to help us look at the client, you as a practitioner, our relationship, wider systems and the interventions we use — and to notice any parallel processes that arise. I’m especially interested in childhood adversity and inner child work, stress and psychophysiological responses, and the therapeutic use of hypnosis in regulation of the central nervous system.
I hold a BSc (Psych), MA (Criminology) and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling & Hypnotherapy. My approach is collaborative, ethical and evidence‑based: I value honesty, challenge and practical tools for wellbeing. I love to work with people, and I have always worked supporting people emotionally during and when I graduated. I spend 10 years volunteering for Victim Support, Youth Justice, Rehabilitation of Offenders and Cruse Bereavement Care. I practice hypnosis as a hypnotherapist too, sometimes in conjunction with psychotherapy and sometimes not and then use more person-centred skills.
I am relaxed, humanistic and like to draw from integrative approaches, always adhering to the ethical framework (NCPS) and the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision. If you have any questions, please do get in touch to arrange a call. offering 6 free sessions and reduced fee thereafter.
