Supervisor
MBACP, BSc Psychology - Trauma Counsellor

Supervision details

I am an integrative therapist and have worked with a broad range of mental health difficulties, particularly specialising in trauma work, encompassing areas such as CSA including online offences and domestic abuse.

I work therapeutically with adults and young people from the age of 10, enhanced by my ten-year background  working with children and families in a variety of settings.

I deliver bespoke training including trauma informed practice and domestic abuse awareness for several different organisations, including within my role at a local charity.

As a supervisor, I utilise my experience and training to provide you with support and education around any client needs you might have, whether that is psycho education or the practice of interventions. Alongside this, building a genuine solid relationship where we can chat about any personal issues you may have is important to me as well.

I place great emphasis on your well-being as a person and will work with you to promote this along with any professional developmental needs you might have. I know that one of the most important factors between us will be the relationship we build and I know that through my down to earth, personable approach we can successfully do this, creating a space where you feel comfortable to talk about all aspects of your client work.

Finding the right person as your supervisor is so important, so if you would like to have an informal chat first, I am happy to offer 30 minutes free of charge.

If you would like to go ahead, fees are £60 per hour and I can offer either face to face or zoom sessions.

Please get in touch if you would like to chat further.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
