Supervision details
I hold a Level 7 Post Graduate qualification in supervision. In addition to supervising therapists in private practice, I have many years experience of supervising teams within social care organisations in particular, those supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues and neurodiverse clients.
I have an integrative approach to the work I do, both in my own practice as a therapist and as a supervisor, but with an emphasis on the psychodynamic and attachment based therapy. I also offer supervision to therapists who work with couples. As I only work with adult clients, unfortunately I am unable to offer supervision to therapists working with children or in family therapy.
Terms and frequency of supervision:
This is dependant on caseload but I require supervisees to commit to a minimum of 1.5 hours monthly; some therapists prefer to have bi-weekly 60 minute supervision. This is your decision, keeping in mind the requirement of your governing body. Additional supervision sessions can be arranged outside the fixed, regular sessions, if this is required.
I aim to offer a safe, welcoming environment where not only the client is supported but also you as therapist. I want you to be able to explore client issues and how best to help them, but also to feel able to explore your own responses and feelings to the work you do.
Fees:
£60 for 60 minutes
£90 for 90 minutes
I offer an initial 30 minute telephone or Zoom call in order for us to meet and to decide if we would like to work together.
