Supervision details
Hello,
Thank you so much for stopping by my supervisor profile. My goal as a supervisor is to create a warm and grounded space where you can feel safe reflecting on your practice and processing challenging client situations. My supervision is relational based and I focus strongly on building connections with each supervisee. I deeply value vulnerability, empathy and collaboration in the supervision space. I believe our own clinical work is our best teacher.
I am responsive to your needs as a supervisee and I really honor the flow of a supervision session.I think being a counsellor can sometimes be awkward, clumsy, exhausting and amazing. I really like holding space for all of the nuances that come along with being a therapist. I am really responsive and accessible as a supervisor, making sure that supervisees feel held and supported.
Just a little bit about my background. I have been a therapist for 10 years. I have my bachelor’s degree in human behavior, master’s degree in counselling/psychotherapy. I am fully qualified to work with children and adults. I am a Level 2 EFT practitioner, I also have my Level I certificate in Reality Therapy. I have been trained in Play Therapy, Expressive Arts, Sand Tray Therapy, Group Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I am currently finishing my qualification in nutrition.
I have a huge interest in the mind-gut connection. I am also passionate about somatic processing and polyvagal theory. In my practice I focus on women's mental health and do a lot of work around pelvic bowl trauma and self worth. I love being a therapist and a supervisor. I feel such a deep sense of gratitude for the clients and supervisees I get to work with. I am originally from the USA where I trained as a therapist. When I am not working you can find me hillwalking, or reading fantasy books.
I would absolutely love to hear from you if anything in my profile resonates with you. So please reach out.
I work with both counsellor trainees and more experienced practitioners. Individual Supervision: 45£ per 50 minutes, 80£ per 90 Minutes
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
