*ALSO SPECIALISING IN THERAPY FOR THERAPISTS/COUNSELLORS/PSYCHOLOGISTS/MENTAL HEALTH WORKERS *
As a practising Counselling Psychologist I have many years of experience clinically supervising assistant, trainee & qualified Psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists, couples and family therapists and a wide range of other multidisciplinary professions such as mental health nurses, social workers and occupational therapists. I have a particular interest in supervising groups or teams and this has ranged from teams of counsellors, volunteer mental health workers, NHS mental health teams and charities. I also offer reflective practice spaces for trainee psychologists as part of their university requirements in post doctoral training courses. The main model I use when supervising is the Open Dialogue model. This provides a non-hierarchical structure in which the supervisor creates a safe space for the supervise to explore the client work and their 'self' in relation to the work. It is an open, transparent and genuine way of working in which supervisees report feeling heard and validated which then gives them the confidence to grow and develop.

Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
