I am an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. My way of working is predominantly humanistic with psychodynamic insight.
My core training drew to a large extent on the attachment theory and intersubjectivity, placing therapeutic relationship at the centre of all work.
My special interest is the therapist's use of self. In supervision, I'd be supporting you in understanding what is going on in your relationship with your client and how you can be in it to facilitate emotional change. My priority will be to create a supervisory relationship that would feel safe and enable you to explore difficult aspects of your practice.
I welcome supervisees from different theoretical orientations and will be respectful of your own way of working. I am familiar with a variety of theories and will be open to using the therapeutic language applicable to your approach.
In addition, I had post-qualification training and am certified in Counselling for Depression (Person-Centred Experiential Therapy or PCET, used in NHS IAPT service). I am currently working with NHS patients as a CfD/PCET practitioner, therefore could supervise you for this specific way of working.
I have completed the taught part of a Diploma in Supervision qualification and am working on building the practice component towards the full qualification award. I offer reduced rates to trainees and qualified practitioners.
I supervise practitioners who offer individual therapy to adults.
I offer supervision nationally, regionally and locally to Local Authorities, Schools, NHS Trusts and voluntary sector agencies.
