Supervision details
I am a clinical supervisor with a degree in counselling and a postgraduate diploma in clinical supervision. I oversee healthcare professionals and ensure that they deliver the highest standard of care to patients. I supervise teams of clinicians and make key decisions about patient care, staff development, medical protocols and healthcare delivery systems.
I have worked in various mental health and education settings, such as schools, mental health charities, family support and domestic violence charities. I am based in nottingham and currently run a private practice, meetings with individuals in a face to face and online capacity.
I provide guidance and support to practitioners who assess clients’ mental health, develop suitable treatments and make referrals. I select, train, evaluate, discipline and motivate staff. I ensure the quality of clinical documentation at all times.
I have extensive experience in running group and individual sessions, managing and coordinating short- and long-term projects and supporting trainee counsellors with their course requirements and portfolios.
I am committed to enhancing my skills as a practitioner by reading, attending professional development courses and training. I have a humanistic approach to counselling and supervision, which means I focus on the whole experience of the person. I relate to my clients and staff with empathy, acceptance and without judgement.
