Supervision details
Choosing a new supervisor can feel a vulnerable process. Building a deeply trusted relationship can take time, but knowing your practice will be met with compassion and empathy, in a shared exploration of all aspects of your therapeutic work, helps to create a space where you feel safe to bring the known and unknown parts of your client's experience.
I have over a decade of experience working full time as a therapist in a Hospice setting, in recent years I've been leading a team of therapists, supporting the development of counsellors, healthcare professionals and counselling trainees within a healthcare setting. I am an experienced Group Supervision facilitator as well as offering individual supervision sessions. Alongside my Hospice work I maintain a small private practice in which I offer individual supervision to therapists and healthcare professionals.
If you choose to work with me, we will co-create a deeply trusted space in which to explore and develop your practice. Our supervision sessions will be Humanistic with a person-centred approach. We will also explore the Transpersonal, encouraging all of Jung's Four Functions (Body sensation, feelings, intuition and thoughts) to create the best environment for understanding the unconscious field of your client's experience. Together we create a compassionate non-judgemental space encouraging growth and transpersonal understanding.
Sessions are offered in-person or online, I recommend one 90 session per month (£90) or fortnightly 60 minute sessions (£60 per hour).
If you would like to meet to see if my supervision approach is the right fit for you, why not contact me to arrange a time to speak. Please email me in the first instance and we can arrange an initial conversation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
