Supervision details
A little bit about me and my Supervision Practice;
My focus is to work with you collaboratively in developing and maintaining a self-reflective therapy/counselling practice: challenging you where appropriate and supporting you in regularly reviewing your self-regulation and self-care. I encourage exploration of unconscious processes in what may be going on within both the therapeutic and supervisory relationship.
I qualified as an integrated Person-centred and Psychodynamic Counsellor in 2019 and began my journey at TIC+ the same year as a peripatetic counsellor. I have extensive experience working with adults, children, young people and their families which I gained during my previous 18 years of employment in the children’s services - child protection and child in need team.
Over the last five years at TIC+, I have successfully advanced my working role from a peri counsellor to senior counsellor to that of the Head of safeguarding and allocations team and now as an internal supervisor.
I am very passionate about both counselling and supervision, and I feel that my empathic nature, unconditional positive regard for others and authenticity creates a warm, welcoming and trusting foundation on which to build a safe therapeutic relationship with you. I provide a safe space in which trust and acceptance facilitates opportunities for personal growth and development without fear of judgement or criticism.
My supervision framework is founded upon the seven eyed model of supervision (developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet) which integrates the relational and systemic aspects of supervision. I offer a safe, collaborative and confidential supervision space where counsellors can explore all aspects of their client work alongside their own reactions, emotions and self-care needs. Working collaboratively together we can navigate complex cases whilst ensuring that the clients wellbeing is paramount.
Experience
I continue to work part time as an internal clinical supervisor for TIC+ counselling charity that provides support to children and young people aged 9-25 and their families living in Gloucestershire. I regularly see counsellors and level 4 counselling students for up to 1.5 hours a month for one to one supervision.
I also work part time as a private practice counsellor.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Fees and availability
Currently, I am available to offer supervision face to face in Coleford or online via Teams.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
