Supervision details

Since qualifying as an integrative counsellor in 2017, I have worked both in private practice and within the third sector. I understand and empathise with the challenges that both of these working environments can bring.

My clinical experience has centred mostly around working with clients presenting with childhood trauma (specifically sexual abuse) and addiction. Although I have completed extensive training in "methods" or "techniques" that may help these clients manage, I tend to work primarily from a relational perspective, and my supervision reflects this. I supportively encourage supervisees to take a deep-dive into the relational dynamics that occur in their client work, as we pay attention to transference and counter-transference. This is informed by my current studies for an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies.

Intersectional feminism is an integral part of who I am and how I see the world, the systems that we exist in and our personal relationships. I believe that intersectional feminism is for everyone, and offer an inclusive space within supervision.

Supervision fees are £50 per hour session, or £70 per hour and a half and take place via Zoom. Please feel free to get in touch with any questions, or to arrange a free initial consultation.

NCPS
National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society

This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations.

In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
