Supervision details

Supervision sessions are available in person or online. I have been qualified as a Clinical Psychologist since 2008 and have completed supervision training.  I have supervised many Clinical and Counselling Psychologists throughout my career. I have also supervised members of the multidisciplinary teams I have worked in, including Physiotherapists and Nurses.  My supervision role has allowed me to meet and connect with some wonderful colleagues. In my leadership roles, alongside direct clinical supervision, I have also spent many years supporting psychologists to balance their caseloads to maintain wellbeing and work / life balance. My main therapy approaches are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy but I draw from a range of models, including Compassion Focused Therapy.  I have specialisms in trauma and physical health, particularly persistent / chronic pain. My approach is flexible and if any urgent needs crop up for supervisees, I try to accommodate a brief call to chat things through. Supervision is available in my clinic room in the centre of Morpeth or on Zoom / other video platform.  Fees are £100 per hour.  Please get in touch to discuss your needs and chat further.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
