Hello, I'm Luke and I'm on a mission to help you process your client work, build you up, encourage you, challenge you and help you reach your full potential of the counsellor you know you can become.
I have worked as an integrative counsellor for seven years. A part of being integrative means that I take a flexible approach when working with you, because you are unique. I ensure that you feel comfortable and that your experience with me is one that can facilitate what you're looking for. My goal is not just to help you through your current situations but to empower you to face future clients and circumstances with confidence in your psychological wellbeing and skills.
I have a warm presence and a calming tone to my speech. Through this and my friendly attitude I hope to build with you an alliance to aide your practice. Through exploration of your clients, your self and our connection, we can build a platform of safety for you to operate from.
All this text can convey me but the most important thing is to see how we connect. Let's talk and see if you'd like to take this further. I offer free 15 minute consultations as a 'vibe check', no pressure, no commitment.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
