Supervision details
Clinical Supervision
I offer a warm, supportive and reflective supervision space for counsellors and trainee counsellors, helping you feel confident, grounded and supported in your clinical work.
I am a qualified counselling supervisor and registered member of the BACP, offering supervision in a collaborative, reflective and professional environment. I welcome enquiries from both newly qualified and experienced counsellors.
With over 10 years’ experience as a counsellor, I have worked extensively with young people and adults across educational settings, community services and private practice. My experience includes working with clients aged 14 through to adulthood, including mature learners within further and higher education and in private practice.
My background includes working as a Lead Counsellor, where I managed complex caseloads, carried out initial assessments and triage, and contributed to safeguarding and multi-agency working.
I hold a Diploma in Counselling Supervision (2022) and bring both clinical experience and formal supervisory training to my work.
My approach to supervision
My supervision style is primarily person-centred, offering a safe, non-judgemental space where you can explore your client work openly and honestly.
Alongside this, I integrate CBT-informed approaches and mindfulness techniques, which can support both your client work and your own self-awareness as a practitioner.
I aim to provide a balance of support and gentle challenge, helping you to:
- Reflect more deeply on your client work
- Develop your confidence and professional identity
- Explore ethical and clinical decision-making
- Maintain safe and effective practice
I also recognise the importance of supervision as a space to support your wellbeing, particularly when working with emotionally demanding material.
Areas I can support you with
- Reflective practice and in-depth case discussion
- Working with risk, safeguarding and complex presentations
- Assessment, triage and referral decision-making
- Supporting work with anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, loss and many more client issues
- Integrating CBT techniques and mindfulness into client work

- Ethical practice and working within the BACP framework
- Managing workload, emotional impact and burnout

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
