Supervision details
I am a UKCP qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and a Counselling Psychologist with the BPS (DCPsych., UKCP Reg., CPsychol., AFBPsS) with over 15 years of clinical experience. I have a professional background in charity work, mainly focussed on working with people with severe mental health diagnoses, as well as facing a multiple disadvantages, such as refugee status, a history of offending, domestic abuse, and people in recovery from substance misuse.
I also have experience of lecturing/teaching on a number of psychotherapy courses (as a core tutor and visiting lecturer on the MSc. in Integrative Psychotherapy and MSc. in Humanistic Psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute between 2020-25, and as a visiting lecturer and process group facilitator at Roehampton University). I also supervise students' research on the PhD/MPhil Psychotherapy and DCPsych. doctoral courses at the Metanoia Institute.
I am currently completing a supervision diploma at the Gestalt Centre and offering low cost supervision during this time (£40 per session), either in room in London Bridge near the station, or online.
For me, the supervisory context is vital to our work and I work in relational and friendly way, encouraging you to bring the difficult, as well as every day dilemmas you face as a therapist or counsellor. I will support you in developing and enriching your unique approach to this work wherever you are on your professional journey. I will bring my clinical, teaching and professional experience to work with you in your clinical practice. While I am an integrative practitioner, I am used to working with people from a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
British Psychological Society
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
