Supervision & Mentoring for Counsellors

Supervision is more than just a professional box to tick; it’s a vital space to breathe, reflect, and grow. I see our work together as a collaborative partnership—a safe, trusting environment where you can explore your client work and the therapeutic relationship with total honesty.

My approach is collaborative and restorative, focused on creating a "human-first," shame-free space where you can safely explore your clinical work, ethical dilemmas, and the personal impact of your practice.

Supervisory Philosophy & Approach

Models Used: I primarily work with the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision, which allows us to view client work from multiple perspectives—from the client’s internal world to our own supervisory relationship.
Style: My style is a blend of support and appropriate challenge. I believe supervision should be a place to celebrate successes as much as it is a space to navigate "stuckness" or countertransference.
Specialisms: I have extensive experience in trauma, anxiety and depression, the mother-daughter relationship, or private practice setup.

Who I Work With

Students & Trainees: Helping you navigate the complexities of placements, case studies, and your evolving professional identity.
Experienced Practitioners: Offering fresh perspectives to help you stay ethically grounded and avoid burnout.

Supporting Your Professional Growth
I especially enjoy working with:

Newly qualified counsellors building their skills and confidence.
Private practitioners navigating the transition to self-employment. From risk assessments and clinical wills to finding your niche and attracting the right clients, I’m here to help you manage the practical side of therapy.

BACP Accreditation Support
The accreditation journey can feel overwhelming. Having been through it myself, I offer a steady hand to help you break down the criteria, review your clinical evidence, and provide feedback on your written work.

Mentoring
If you already have a supervisor but want extra guidance on practice development or specific clinical goals, I offer tailored mentoring sessions to help you take that next step.

Practical Information

Session Types: 60 or 90-minute sessions available.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
