Supervision details
Supervision provides a space to share a meta perspective of clinical work and to reflect on how to make therapy practice even safer and more effective. I work with supervisees one to one, and with groups. In group supervision, all participants can benefit from hearing the perspective and experience of another therapist, and by sharing and receiving insights and feedback.
In person supervisees work here with me and my woodland garden at Ffynnon Dawel in West Wales, in a cosy roundhouse, or sat by the stream, depending on the weather and time of year. Supervision here in the woods provides a calm, spacious time for reflection and encouragement.
I also work with individuals and groups online when we are too far afield to meet in person. I usually provide group supervision in groups of three, for three hours, which helps with affordability, as all three hours can be counted. These tend to be monthly, depending on the needs of the group.
With the endorsement of PTSTA I am registered as a qualified supervisor with the UKCP, and can support trainees working towards counselling & psychotherapy qualifications, including the UKATA/UKCP Diploma & Certified Transactional Analyst (CTA).
I am qualified to supervise Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Social Workers and 3rd Sector professionals.
My fees are £70 per hour, either for individual sessions, or as a shared cost between group participants.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
UKATA (formally the Institute of Transactional Analysis) is the national UK Transactional Analysis organisation representing all fields of TA theory and practice. TA can be used as an effective tool in a wide range of contexts such as: personal development, management, coaching, counselling, psychotherapy, teaching, education, parenting and more.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
