Supervision details
I am currently completing the Clinical Diploma of Supervision with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Institute in Nottingham. I have completed all of the taught aspects of the course and now am offering free / reduced cost supervision sessions to complete the clinical component of the course.
I am able to offer individual and group supervision for psychotherapists / counsellors and other related professions within the caring sector.
As a supervisor I carry with me the philosophy that underpins my practice as an integrative psychotherapist, fostering a relational / developmental approach. As well as focussing on what is happening in there here and now, I am also interested in the unconscious processes which are present within the therapeutic relationship and within the supervisory relationship. I hold an awareness of our individuality and my approach recognises this by offering a flexibility dependent on the individuals needs (both the therapist I am working with and the client they are bringing). I tend to integrate aspects of transactional analysis, play therapy, gestalt and object relations.
I am able to work with any modality of psychotherapist / counsellor and I am currently able to work with counsellors on training up to Level 5 (these hours would count towards your final supervision hours) and graduates of any level and discipline who require some additional supervision hours.
Please get in touch if you feel this is something that you might be interested in either by emailing me at admin@kirstymurraypsychotherapy.com or via phone at 0775 9953798.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
