Supervision details
I am available to offer external clinical supervision to both trainee and qualified psychologists, counsellors and psychotherapists, and do so in both my private and NHS work.As an experienced NHS clinician who has worked in primary, secondary, and in-patient services, I can offer a range of approaches and have extensive experience of mental health issues. I currently work for the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust. My preferred theoretical approach is relational and psychodynamic and my supervisory work largely focuses on the therapeutic relationship and dynamic processes occurring between therapist and patient.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
