Supervision details

I am a qualified Level 6 Supervisor with a Diploma in Therapeutic Supervision as well as an Integrative Counsellor

I work with individuals or groups, supervising qualified and trainee counsellors. I offer supervision to counsellors that are working with young people, adults, and couples. I have extensive experience working with young people as I have worked in schools for over 20 years. I also have experience supervising professionals such as teachers, nurses, and anyone in the caring profession and businesses to assist them in providing support in a caring environment for their employees.

I provide practical, ethical, and personal support to counsellors and support workers in the management of their practice. To be with them on their own journey, growth, and professional development. This is a safe place for you to bring any work which needs exploring and see how it is impacting you. I will support you within your work and help you to invest in yourself, to explore and reflect your own feelings within the work you are doing, and we will work together collaboratively to manage your caseload and to work on the ethical difficulties that may arise. To help enhance your skills and confidence as a practitioner and ensure that professional ethical standards and safe practice are maintained.

For me, the importance of consistency and a supportive supervisory relationship is key to a successful relationship between Supervisor and Supervisee. It is important to have the right match of supervisor, to be able to work alongside you to support you and your practice. A good, honest, open trustworthy relationship that feels comfortable and safe.

Effective counselling is dependent on the emotional health, well-being, and development of the counsellor. Supervision helps to reflect your own feelings about your clients and the work you do with them.

I have experience in a wide range of modalities.

I offer face-to-face or online.

Fees are:

Qualified Counsellors = £65.00 for 1.5 hours

Trainee Counsellors    = £55.00 for 1.5 hours

                                       = £50.00 for 1 hour.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
