Clinical Supervision with Dr Anne Lane
Experienced. Integrative. Relational

With over twenty years of experience supervising clinical and counselling psychologists, from those newly qualified to seasoned practitioners, I offer a sturdy, collaborative space designed to deepen your practice and support your professional growth.

My approach to supervision is deeply integrative. Rather than enforcing a rigid framework, I adapt my style to your unique level of experience, therapeutic background, and current needs. We can comfortably dive into the nuances of specific clinical techniques, but our work will often look beyond standard, textbook ideas.

Most importantly, I place the self of the supervisee at the heart of our practice. Together, we will safely explore:

  • Your personal and professional experiences and how they shape your clinical lens.
  • The complex, subtle dynamics of the therapeutic relationship between you and your clients.
  • The underlying beliefs, biases, and resonance that emerge in the therapy room.

Supervision with me is a warm, secure and non-judgmental anchor where you can bring the best of your work alongside your uncertainties and dilemmas. Whether you are looking to sharpen your skills, navigate complex transferences or prevent burnout, I am here to support you in delivering ethical, deeply impactful therapy.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Key details

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

I work on the ground floor. There is a drive but to get to my room there is gravel which can be tricky with wheelchairs (but not impossible). The downstairs toilet is unfortunately too small to be accessible.
