Supervision details
Hi there, thank you for clicking on my profile, that could be a positive step in your search for support and development in your professional life. I know that you will be looking for space to offload, gain support and guidance, but most importantly a safe space to reflect on your practice. All competent counsellors continually strive to do the best for their clients and it's important for you to feel that your clients will, in turn, benefit from your supervision. Access to quality supervision is important in ensuring that you feel enabled by having a supervisor who is caring, trustworthy, knowledgeable and, most of all, helpful in promoting self care. This is important in order for you to offer a first class service to your clients. I know this because these aspects are what I look for in my own supervision. Just to reassure you I am qualified to an advance level in supervision so, as well as supervising counsellors, I also supervise other clinical supervisors and can facilitate group supervision for organisations etc. With this in mind my aim is always to influence and help facilitate high standards of practice for supervisees and I have accrued a wide range of experiences through the counselling work I have carried out, the supervision I have had myself and the teaching I've carried out (an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy Course). My years in psychotherapy and clinical supervision are enhanced by a long history of managing staff, development activities and training (see my counselling profile for more information). My previous experiences and MBA qualification also equip me to offer supervision if you are in another profession such as support worker, manager, befriender, CPN or a student on a counselling course (for which I offer a 10% monthly discount for the first 12 months). The psychotherapy course I qualified through was an integrative course which gives me a wide view of different models so it doesn't matter what model(s) you practice, as I can present objective view points which are beneficial for supervisees. Also, in March 2021 I qualified as a Neuro Linguistic Programme (NLP) Practitioner with a Diploma from the International NLP trainers association. The course I qualified through to become a clinical supervisor is approved and recommended by the British Psychological Society and was delivered by SDS courses. It covers a wide range of theoretical approaches to clinical supervision.

I offer face to face supervision to counsellors in Carlisle, Cumbria and Dumfries and Galloway. I offer video conferencing sessions for supervisees from all over the UK. The model of counselling a counsellor may use is not an issue as I can adapt my style of supervision to suit all levels of experience. I charge £60 an hour for supervision.
Thanks for reading this far.
I understand you might not be sure about whether to approach me or not. Searching for and engaging with a supervisor is a major contributor to how you feel, how you are able to practice and how you can support your clients. So, why not contact me to arrange a free 20 minute phone consultation to help you decide? There's no obligation so there's nothing to lose! I charge £60 an hour (and £35 for each half hour after that) on a monthly basis. Any other work, such as group supervision can be delivered at a negotiated rate.
