Supervision details

I offer a warm, supportive and reflective space for counsellors and therapists to explore their client work, professional development and the emotional impact of the work we do. I see supervision as a collaborative relationship where you can think openly about your practice, celebrate what is going well, and feel supported when facing challenges.

My aim is to create a safe and trusting environment where you feel able to reflect honestly, deepen your understanding of your clients, and grow in confidence as a practitioner. Alongside maintaining ethical and effective practice, I value curiosity, compassion and thoughtful challenge to support both you and your clients.

I welcome supervisees at different stages of their journey, including trainees and qualified counsellors, and I tailor supervision to your individual needs, approach and areas of interest.

I am an experienced, bacp accredited counsellor and EMDR Therapist offering supervision for counsellors working with young people and adults.

My experience includes working in private practice, secondary schools and further education settings,  Mind the mental health charity, a non-IAPT service for the NHS and EAP's.

Costs are £75 per 1.5 hours supervision.  Sessions are available via online video call.  Discount offered for trainee counsellors.

The supervision work I offer is informed by Hawkins & Shohet’s 7 eyed model of supervision.

If you would like to arrange an initial brief call to discuss the possibility of us working together, just let me know and we can agree a suitable time.

"Supervision is essential to how practitioners sustain good practice throughout their working life. Supervision provides practitioners with regular and ongoing opportunities to reflect in depth about all aspects of their practice in order to work as effectively, safely and ethically as possible. Supervision also sustains the personal resourcefulness required to undertake the work."

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
