Supervision details
I have extensive experience as clinical supervisor both in NHS primary care mental health teams and in private practice. I offer CBT and EMDR supervision to experienced therapists, trainees, as well as counsellors and psychotherapists, who use CBT or / and EMDR as part of their therapy work.
I offer specialist CBT supervision for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD. In collaboration with a team of colleagues we have developed, and currently delivering, specialist training in CBT for adult ASC.I also have a specialist interest in trauma, and perinatal mental health.
I draw on various cognitive and behavioural psychotherapies, such as CBT, CFT, DBT, to help my supervisees tailor their therapeutic approach to the client's needs and own skills. Whilst I adhere to evidence based cognitive models for depression and anxiety, I am a firm believer that an idiosyncratic formulation is necessary to capture the client's full experiences and meet their needs.
I take an attachment-informed and trauma-informed approach. I specialise in therapy for trauma, and I find that integration of IFS with EMDR offers a deep understanding of the impact and symptoms of trauma and a comprehensive and holistic treatment.
I am very passionate about working with fellow therapists, encouraging my supervisees to expand their clinical skills, offering a safe and empowering supervision space.
