Supervision details
I have been working as a clinical supervisor privately and in NHS primary care mental health teams, since 2014. I offer supervision to CBT therapists, trainees, as well as counsellors and psychotherapists, who use CBT as part of their therapy work.
I offer specialist CBT supervision for Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD. In collaboration with a team of colleagues we have developed, and currently delivering, specialist training in CBT for adult ASC.I also have a specialist interest in trauma, and perinatal mental health.
I draw on various cognitive and behavioural psychotherapies, such as CBT, CFT, DBT, Schema-focused therapy, to help my supervisees tailor their therapeutic approach to the client's needs and own skills. I take an attachment-informed and trauma-informed approach with my work being heavily influenced by attachment-focused EMDR.
Whilst I adhere to evidence based cognitive models for depression and anxiety, I am a firm believer that an idiosyncratic formulation is necessary to capture the client's full experiences and meet their needs. I am very passionate about working with fellow therapists, encouraging them to expand their clinical skills, offering a safe and empowering supervision space.
