Supervision details
I am looking to establish a clinical supervision group for practitioners to consider their casework through a psychoanalytic lens. The group will take place at my consulting room in Wilmslow, between 2:30-3:45pm on Thursdays. In terms of composition I expect that people joining this group will make a regular and ongoing commitment to attend and participate. The group will run weekly and has a maximum of four group members. The fee will be £35 per week. The group might be of interest to Clinical/Counselling Psychologists, BACP registered Counsellors and UKCP registered Psychotherapists. This group is not yet formed, but if there is enough interest it should be possible to begin either early December 2018 or January 2019. Please email me to let me know if you are interested. We can then arrange a further conversation. In addition to above I offer individual clinical supervision for psychotherapy cases. I also offer thinking space to staff teams where poor team productivity and performance might be understood to be a consequence of unconscious organisational dynamics.
The British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) is a professional association, representing the profession of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
The organisation is itself made up of fourteen member organisations and BPC accredits the trainings of its member organisations. An individual who qualifies from one of these trainings is then eligible for entry into the BPC's register.
BPC registrants are governed by a code of ethics, a policy of continuing professional development, a statement on confidentiality and a complaints procedure. The BPC is a Member Society of the European Federation for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in the Public Sector (EFPP). Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
