Supervision details

As a supervisor, my goal is for you to feel supported, safe, empowered, and confident in your work. Most of us will have had supervision that is more about case management i.e. reporting on your clients and their progress. That has its place, but I'm offering passionate supervision which is about inviting you to look a little deeper, not just at the client and their processes, but also what is going on for you within the relationship. I will be alongside you in that, and I hope that supervision can be a space where you feel able to be vulnerable and bring the hard stuff. I really encourage self-compassion and support supervisees in developing their self-care.  If you work creatively then I'd love for you to bring that into the supervisory space as well, and I would encourage that.

I'm particularly passionate about supporting other neurodivergent counsellors. There may be additional ongoing struggles to manage - things like fatigue, overwhelm, an extra layer of rejection sensitivity when a client ghosts you, brain fog, autistic burnout, working in a setting that is unkind to your sensory sensitivities (strip lighting - ugh!) etc. etc. I don't have all of the answers but I do get it, and will support you to take care of yourself.

A bit about me - I am an integrative counsellor/psychotherapist working from a relational approach with over 10 years experience. My initial training was MSc Therapeutic Counselling, and I have a Certificate in Couples Counselling and a Certificate in Supervision. I have been in private practice for over 8 years, I work with adults and couples and I can supervise your work with individuals and couples. I work both in person and online with a diverse client base. From previous roles I have a lot of experience working short-term with clients, usually 6 sessions or 6-24 sessions. In my private practice I often work longer-term with clients, sometimes for years, and I enjoy that deeper psychotherapeutic work too.
