Anita Knight MA MBACP (Accred) Children 5+, Adults, Couples, Cert. Supervision
Hi there, I am a CPCAB level 6 qualified Supervisor. I am also a counsellor & psychotherapist and have worked in organisations and in private practice with clients in schools, referred through EAP's, Social Care, Work-related Health care organisations & with private individuals. Likewise, I am aware of how challenging, lonely and at times worrying it can be working with problems and contemplating which decision might be the best one to make.
As a Supervisor, I aim to work in ways that support, guide and challenge you at whatever level you're working at to hopefully enable you to grow within your counselling role.
Further Training information and Supervisory approach:
I have an MA in children and young people's counselling, a PGrad Certificate in advanced counselling practice, Tavistock training in Psychoanalytic Observational Studies & a degree in Psychology. I am also a BACP accredited counsellor with over 6 years of counselling experience.
I am able to support Supervisees of most modalities as I use an integrative approach with Person-Centred core values and I draw from Psychoanalytic & TA theory and psychological developmental processes, in particular where a person may have become stuck. I also have a basic knowledge of CBT.
My specialism is in Children & Young People's Counselling, but I am also trained and experienced in working with adults & couples. I have worked in schools, children's centres, privately and in Organisations (Place2be, Relate & Impact) so am familiar with the ins & outs of contracting, boundary setting, safeguarding etc.
My fees are £65 for 1.5 hours but concessions can be negotiated if you are a trainee.
Thanks for looking. Please feel free to give me a call for an informal, no commitment chat.
