Supervision details

About Me:I have had over 15 years experience as a Supervisor / Clinical Supervisor within my health, social care and training roles and my Counselling & Psychotherapy Supervision qualification is as follows:Level 7 Higher Diploma in Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy Supervision (accredited by National Council of Psychotherapists - NCP).I work compassionately and empathically with both students and qualified therapists in a pluralistic / integrative and holistic approach to therapy. I am passionate about therapy that looks at the whole person, working in a totally individualistic way, with each client and supervisee.  I have extensive experience in working with humanistic, existential, transpersonal, gestalt, CBT and creative / art therapies, which all offer a wide spectrum of theories and tools that benefit clients holistically.  The supervision model I use is an integrative hybrid model that encompasses Page and Wosket's 'Cyclical Model' and Hawkins and Shohet's 'Seven-Eyed Model', which both work extremely well with an integrative, individualistic approach to counselling psychotherapy.  If you have any queries or would like to fine out more about my approach to supervision, please feel free to contact me (without obligation) and I am also happy to arrange a 30 minute free session, either face to face or on Zoom, to help you to decide if you feel I am the right person to supervise your practice.Initial Session:The initial session is an opportunity for you to discover whether you feel I am the right Supervisor to work with you. The session will include sharing information about training / career backgrounds, theoretical and creative approaches and relevant interests and aspirations for the future.I offer a relaxed, empathetic and supportive approach, which encourages you to speak openly about personal and professional issues. I support you to be able to separate your's and your client's transferential issues, using my intuitive skills and insight. I also offer the benefit of my extensive professional, creative and holistic knowledge to enable you to challenge difficult issues and situations and learn new individualised approaches for your clients.Fees: Qualified Therapists / Practitioners:Initial Session (30 minutes)  =  FREE1 hour session  =  £501½ hour session  =  £752 hour session  =  £100 Trainee Counsellors / Psychotherapists:Initial Session (30 minutes)  =  FREE1 hour session  =  £301½ hour session  =  £452 hour session  =  £60

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
