Michaela Slade

I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor with 17 years’ experience and 28 years in the social care sector. I offer supervision to therapists and therapeutic or holistic practitioners at every stage of their development, from students and newly qualified practitioners to experienced therapists. My approach provides a supportive space in which you can be gently challenged to grow, explore your edges and expand your capacity, while remaining grounded in your authentic self and working within ethical boundaries.

My core training is integrative, with a particular interest in transpersonal, person-centred and somatic approaches. I work primarily with horses in a natural setting and trained as an equine-assisted therapist with LEAP in 2015. In 2026, I qualified as both an Equusoma Practitioner and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. I also maintain a small room-based and online practice.

My specialist areas include trauma, neurodivergence and attachment. My additional training includes ecotherapy, eating disorders, Somatic Trauma Therapy with Babette Rothschild and training with Aspire Autism Consultancy. I am qualified as a supervisor at Level 7.

I draw on the cyclical and seven-eyed models of supervision, which complement one another in supporting systemic, phenomenological and somatic exploration. This approach is particularly well suited to equine- and nature-assisted practice, where multiple relationships, elements and dynamics may be present.

I offer one-hour and 90-minute supervision sessions, as well as 45-minute sessions for students. Fees are £65 for one hour and £85 for 90 minutes. Reduced student rates are agreed on application.
