Sian Leone Williams, Psychotherapist/Counsellor/Supervisor - MBACP (Accred)
I have been a supervisor for several years and have supported both newly qualified and experienced psychotherapists / counsellors. I believe that a supportive working relationship is vital to effective supervision.
Clinical supervision. This can be arranged either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups in accordance with BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and BABCP (British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy) guidelines. I am happy to support psychotherapists / counselors through the accreditation process as appropriate. I believe that each supervisee has their own individual needs and always strive to work with them to understand these in order to ensure these are met.
“Supportive” Supervision. Individual supervision for those working in caring / front-line services where there is the potential to experience stressful, distressing situations on a regular basis. In these cases, regular supervision can enable the individual to have somewhere confidential to discuss any impact their job has on them, to learn how to manage their stress levels and to ensure that they do not become worn down by their work.
