Supervision details
Supervision should be Normative, Formative and Restorative. My first question to supervisees at every session is "How are you?" Supervision is not only about our client work, it's also about you; the counsellor. I want supervisees to feel positive and proficient and able to offer a professional service to their clients. As counsellors we want our clients to feel comfortable and at ease with us. A relationship built on trust and respect should evolve. For this reason a client needs to feel that they are with the best person to meet their needs. It is important that the client feels that they have the right counsellor. This too is the case with a supervisor - supervisee relationship. A counsellor needs to feel that they have the right supervisor; the one that meets their needs. A supervisor who can be trusted and will not judge. I offer a confidential, professional, respectful and non judgemental service.Supervision should evaluate, inform and encourage a counsellor's practice. I want my supervisees to feel valued and motivated; never judged or "told off". My service is available to qualified and trainee counsellors, groups and organisations. All counselling orientations and members of any counselling & psychotherapy professional bodies are welcome.QUALIFICATIONQualification in Counselling Supervision (with distinction) from Lindum College, LincolnA full list of my training and qualifications can be viewed on my counselling profileFEESMy rates are £45.00 per 1 1/2 hour session (£30.00 per hour) for individuals £60.00 per 1 1/2 hour session (£40.00 per hour) for organisations £75.00 per 1 1/2 hour session (£50.00 per hour) for groups of in excess of 4 persons (group fee is per group, not per person) Concessions may be negotiable to charitable organisations. BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
