Supervision details

EMDR Supervision

I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Consultant and an EMDR Facilitator with EMDR Masterclass. I am experienced in delivering supervision including Therapists who work in private practice to supervising NHS groups.

I offer regular or ad hoc individual, group, face to face or online supervision to Therapists, from those who have completed Part 1 training through to experienced EMDR Therapists, supporting Therapists in development of their EMDR practice. Also, for groups and teams in different organisations, this is being offered online due to covid.

Benefits of EMDR supervision include:

-  Development of skills in EMDR
-  Integration of EMDR into existing clinical ways of working
-  Gaining confidence in putting EMDR into practice and progression on the pathway to becoming EMDR Accredited Practitioner or EMDR Consultant

As an EMDR Consultant, I love to share my knowledge and experience with my supervisees. If you are new to EMDR, wish to refresh skills and gain confidence, would like to integrate EMDR into your practice or work towards accreditation, please get in touch and see how we can work together.

CBT Supervision

I offer private clinical supervision for individuals, that be can offered on a face-to-face basis or via Skype. I have supervision experience with NHS staff in IAPT, including PWP’s and both Trainee and qualified High Intensity Therapists and I also supervise and coach other health care professionals and counsellors seeking to use and develop CBT techniques as part of their work.

My aim is to provide the following for supervisees:

-  Provide a space for personal confidence building and education regarding the practice of CBT.
-  Opportunities to discuss formulation, treatment plans and progress for individual clients.
-  A chance to develop particular CBT skills both by role play exercises and by listening to tapes/watching videos. Complete sessions can be CTS-R rated (charged separately) on request.
-  Support for the supervisee in their clinical work, facilitation of reflective practice and encouragement of professional development.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
