Face-to-face and online sessions available - I am Senior Accredited with both BACP and NCPS, and a Level 2 ACTO practitioner.
As a supervisor, I like to work reflectively/collaboratively. I enter your world and help you explore deeper aspects of the client process, transference, relationships, ethics, and any organisational influences, to better support not only you, but also your clients. I like to become more of a colleague, rather than someone who provides oversight or case management. I offer both lived experience and nearly two decades of clinical experience. I like to think I am down-to-earth and personable, and welcome you. It is important to note that I am neurodivergent-affirming and I unbudgingly base my practice on this.
I have over 18 years of experience as a counsellor, and have to date achieved an MA at a distinction level, as well as a first-class BSc (Hons) degree, both in counselling and psychotherapy. I am currently a PhD student researching how neurotypoe compatability in counselling, and I am a published researcher on the experiences of autistic counsellors here in the UK https://doi.org/10.1002/capr.12839 I have also self-published my pieces on being an AuDHD counsellor working in schools, and a reflexive piece on whether ADHD needs to be recognised in the counselling room, and have an active blog about neurodivergence.
I offer supervision to both qualified and student counsellors and psychotherapists. I have had a 20-year parallel career working with vulnerable children and families, as well as being a CYP counsellor. However, while I am completing my PhD, I am currently not working with children and young people, but I am happy to support supervisees who do. Even though I am autistic and have ADHD (combined) and work mostly with autistic and ADHD clients, due to my core training, I can, and do, support allistic clients/supervisees.
I am an integrative counsellor, with person-centred counselling at my core. I have additional training in CBT, inner child work, creative therapy, IFS, and DBT, which enables me to work integratively.

Fees - My fees are £60 per hour, or £75 fpor 90-minutes
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
